Like a Star

This poem was not written in a religious context. It was written about two years ago when I was stargazing from my bedroom window. I decided to personify the star for no one in particular.

Like a star

You shine brightly against the darkness

You bring a warmth not of this earth

You cast a glow to light the way

You comfort and sing to me

However

Like a star

You are out of
