A Morning at SeaA Poem by Alex DSThe pure moment of morning bliss at seaLaying in wait in dew
covered darkness, Wafting across the
inky black void Carried on nothing, And seeking the
divine From black comes
light, Faint but true A glow on the sails A shimmer on the sea A change of the watch A bell A voice A pause To miss a morning is To walk an unhallowed
deck Slowly the light
caresses the waves Gentle building
loving In its initial
embrace is lost the desire For light to awaken
the day Born from the
darkness a golden halo of light Explodes Bathing the ocean in
its warm glow The sailor in his
comfort The ship on her tack Another morning The same morning A different morning © 2017 Alex DSAuthor's Note
