Broken...

I hang upon a tree

A veiled cocoon

Dreaming my dreams

Scared by my nightmares

I try to speak, and the world stifles me

I try to breath and the world suffocates me

I try to protest and the world breaks me

And I lie upon the ground

A shattered chrysalis

SOUL LESS.

I am not usually this morbid a poet,but I had a fever for two days and thus this poem:P Suggest a better title than broken.

Actually, if you think about it, the logic of reason clearly states that this title is perfect for it.

made me once think of a fallen cacoon a couple years back, i'd never gotten so close to one before. It saddened me that this butterfly had no chance of ever breaking through to find it's new self, knowing it knew what it was instinctive to be but now forever unable to reach it. Your poem evokes in me that feeling of vain attempt to breach the surface of that cacoon; best part it doesn't need long lines or rhyme. It's simple in its lines.
