Magician's Rhyme

Magician's Rhyme

A Poem by Anthony Xavier

Beneath wanion moonlight death lain
upon a fallow road.
A erstwhile magician's fated vespertine
plea it called to me.
This stranger's absolving ear sought for
fated last confession.
The mournful tome of disappearing time
along a primrose path.
And with ends exhalation this sorrowed
ryhme was recited;

"Even with an envied bag of tricks
and all their names I did forget.
Still now a recounting clock does sit
and tick recalling all of my regret."
