Ode To A FriendA Poem by Meredith DickeyEnglish A Assignment. Written about a lost friend, must be descriptive and imaginative. I couldn't "color" inside the lines, I had to be different and wrote this about my friend that I lost.
Ode of A Lost Friend Only in memory I will see him, For our paths crossed one final time, In middle of the summer season, Yet we said good-bye in autumn. Brunette orbs hid behind frames of black, Raven hair that resembled a mop-top, His heavy dark blue jacket covering his biceps, Yet, his height is equal to mine. Upon any task he might have, he would be hard working, Creating mystical and fantasy creatures, In his sketch book, Creating magical worlds, For all to experience. Singing songs I use to know, Dancing alone yet undisturbed at formal parties, Or besides me at my Farewell Shin Dig, Always quiet but shy. Scaring me thrice when going to the mall, Once when picking me up, Twice while at Sun Coast, And, thrice coming up behind me. I will always remember him, But, only in a moment of weakness, When I do I allow the memories of him, To over wash me.
