As Simple as Forgiveness

Sometimes we just make it too hard...

The sting of words,

The pain of strife,

A taste of death,

That spark of life.

 

The beast within,

The wolves without.

A heart of sin?

That drives us out.

 

The love of God,

The dreadful deed,

A God of peace,

That met our need.

 

With grateful heart,

Forgiveness felt,

When at Christ’s feet,

This sinner knelt.
