Pitter-Pat

Pitter-Pat

A Poem by FamaSemperVivat

The pitter-pat of little feet,
stomping down the vacant street.
Tears dripping down a sad sad face
mommy's lost and out of place.

Sunlight shines down upon this soul
to aid the search and obtain a goal.
Guides her tiny little feet
to a shop just down the street.

Standing there by a boutique
her heart's desire what she seeks.
Mommy stands a look of fear
sees her toddler coming near.

Soon they join and embrace
no longer lost or out of place.
Little one in mommy's arms
safe again and free from harm.

The poem's mood started so depressing, and then it ended up so...sunny! Lovely rhymes and a lovely end to a very good, beautiful poem :)

Oh Suzanne this is such a heartwarming poem about the loss but quick reunion of a mother and her little love. A lovely reminder that all's well that ends well.

Awww, this was cute. I can't relate to it, but I loved it. I can't even imagine what it must feel like when you can't find your child!

I know the nightmare of losing a child in a store. Mine use to hide under the clothes rack and stay very quiet! Very well penned. Love the ending! Keep up the great work!

this is so sweet. I lost my daughter in WalMart once and all I could think of was how scared she must be as I know I certainly was.
