Old Fashioned Girl

Old Fashioned Girl

A Poem by FamaSemperVivat

I was born in a cabin in the hills of Tennessee,
I left that cabin to see the world and what it could make of me
But all I learned from leaving those hills of Tennessee,
Was all a man wanted was a little bit of me.

I'm an old-fashioned girl,
in a new-fashion world.
My heart can't take all this misery.
I'm an old-fashioned girl,
In a high social world,
I wish I were back home in Tennessee.

I went to the Big Apple from my home in Tennessee,
Lured by the lights and bustle that I had seen onTV.
But all I learned from leaving y'all will soon see
was all a man wanted was a little bit of me.

I'm an old-fashioned girl,
in a new-fashion world
My heart can't take all this misery
I'm an old-fashioned girl,
in a high social world
I wish I was back home with my family.

About
A Wee Bit About Me (Besides being Irish that is) Well, I'm not very good talking or promoting myself in an About Me Page. It's easier to show myself in poetry. As far as this goes, just read my p.. more..
