Love is Just a Fleeting Thing
A Poem by

I actually started this when I was 21, and found the paper a couple of years ago and finally finished it.
Oh, love is just a fleeting thing Some see it as a passing fling, While others grasp and hold on tight With grip so hard it makes men fight Now once the love I had for you would make me glad but now I'm blue for your love it no longer shines like sun and stars 'til end of time To heaven's gate you've gone today, it's here on earth where I must stay All alone and lost I shall be 'til Gabriel's horn calls to me Again I'll see your shining face with hearts as one we shall embrace Our love on earth no longer true For love in heaven now we two

You have great rhyme and flow throughout this beautifully written piece. I love the emotional journey and the touch of sadness you've given us as we read.

Another enticing poem that speaks volumes of truth. I am taken by your expressions and fine them to be food for thought.
