Everest

Everest

A Poem by Falling Awake
"

This poem was inspired by Lincoln Hall, a man who survived being left for dead on Everest, only to die from cancer 3 years later, and by my past boyfriend who survived a 6 story fall, only to succumb.

"
From the harshness of Everest,
To savage war trenches,
There's the will to survive,
While keeping your senses.

And once you do,
Life has a way,
Of taking it all,
anyway.
