Introduction to the Lost

Introduction to the Lost

A Poem by Ian Lundin
"

My name is Ian. I am one of the lost.

"

My name is Ian.
I'm just a boy, still finding his way amidst a sea of disarray;

And who's to say?

Not me, no not today.

I'll walk away.

Because life's far too short to fall apart,

and Love can end in the blink of an eye so protect your heart.

This is who we are.

We're all just humans and we're all a little marred.

Sometimes we all feel useless and we all bear scars.

They show us we're alive.

They are ours, alone. When we're all alone,

in the twilight hours, they're ours.

They are ours.

You have yours, I have mine.

I've got these twilight hours if you've got the time.

Show me that beautiful mind.

Love the description. I'm one of the lost & alone in the twilight hours too. I like the closing:

I've got these twilight hours if you've got the time.

Show me that beautiful mind.

Writing is like a one way window. You open the blinds but you still can't see out, even though the whole world can see in. It's the ideas that I can't yet express that drive me forward. Someday I hope.. more..
