Black Sheep Rogue

Black Sheep Rogue

A Poem by Ian Lundin
"

Defiance. Wolves live in a world of sheep. This is a necessary truth of life. Dated: 09/29/05

"

So go ahead and prescribe to me
Of another man's failed philosophy
Where I can learn, firsthand, about hypocrisy
Go on, subscribe me
By force, bend my will unto thee
Mold me into your synthetic beliefs
Ascribe to me, your prosthetic reliefs
After all, faith doesn't grow on trees
And if I'm not like you, I'm bad company
I'm your enemy
Safeguard your system with a pressure release
You'll never swallow people like me
I'll never swallow your pious decrees
Treat me to your system as a bodily disease
As the cancer to your superimposed image of society
I don't suppose you find it a bit contradictory
To save me by discarding my humanity
Whatever happened to humanity?
My friend, you seem to have lost something
But then, it really seems a pity
That I'm not like you and so you're not like me
And you'll never like me because I can't be
What you seem to believe that I should be
And isn't that something?

Writing is like a one way window. You open the blinds but you still can't see out, even though the whole world can see in. It's the ideas that I can't yet express that drive me forward. Someday I hope.. more..
