Chapter 13

Zarek's P.O.V.

"Hey, Isabella!" A smile took over her lips and she hugged me. I hugged back, patting her back. "Hey, Zarek. How's it goin'?" I shrugged. "It's goin'." She nodded in understanding and I smiled, ruffling her hair. She giggled and smiled. She's been my closest friend since I was taken away from my past Master's house. "Want anything for breakfast?" She nodded and smiled. "Chick-Fil-A?" She nodded and started fixing things that were not fixed.

I grabbed my wallet from behind the counter and ran upstairs to the food court. I ordered us breakfast and waited for the lady to call my name. While waiting, I turned, looking around and my eyes met with my past Master's eyes. Hell struck me at once. The man that took my innocence away. The man that would beat Snow. My loose hands turned into clenched fists. I turned away, thinking he would go away. But he didn't.

"Oh, look who we have here.." His voice was deep and full of venom. I turned, looking at him. "Oh, sorry, I should have noticed that Master of all A*s Holes would be coming here. My apologizes your hasshole." I bowed with a deadly smirk on my lips. I stood up and looked him straight in the eyes. He did not approve of that attitude. "Sorry, did something get shoved up your a*s?" A sharp glare grew on his face.

"I'll get you one day." I shrugged. "Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya'." I smirked again and he left. A sigh of relif escaped from between my lips. I smiled as the lady called my name. I walked over to her, grabbing the bag from her. "Thank you." She nodded and I took off down stairs to Isabella. We had our breakfast and finished right as costumers started to flood the store. "Alright, let's do this." She nodded and smiled.

Salem's P.O.V.

A small movement awoke me from a light sleep. I opened my eyes, looking around the room. Worry took over me. I looked down beside me and noticed Snow sleeping against my chest. I smiled and moved her hair behind her ear and got out of bed, covering her up, and left, quietly. Blade was walking down the hall when I shut her door and his eyes landed on me. "Why were you in there?" I sighed, knowing this looked weird from his point of view.

"She fell asleep while I was comforting her and I fell asleep holding her. I'm sorry. It's not what it looks like." He nodded and smiled softly. "What did she say?" I thought back about last night. She's strong for how much she's been through. "She told me what happened at her past Master's house.. and what she knew about her naturally." Blade's expression fell sad. "Every time I think about that, I want to kick her past Master's a*s." He put venom in Master's as he spoke.

"I know, me too. We'll get him one day." He nodded and Blade started to walk past me when I stopped him by putting my hand on his shoulder. "Don't hurt her, or I will hunt you down." He nodded and started walking again, walking into Snow's room. I started towards my room when my phone rang. "Hello." I was still half asleep, so I sounded mainly dead. "Hey, Hun." I smiled, and continued to talk to my fiance.

Snow's P.O.V.

I woke up while Blade was walking in the room. He smiled and started walking faster to me. He got on the bed and laid next to me, pulling me into his arms. "Salem told me about last night.." I frowned some and nodded. "I'm sorry about all of that again. I really am." I nuzzled my face in his neck and he kissed my head. "Just know I love you." My stomach was now filled with butterflies. "How could I not know that?" He chuckled and rubbed my back.

After a while of laying down and talking, we got up. I walked to the window and smiled, watching the snow fall from the sky. I looked over to the roses Blade gave me and smiled. Roses have always been my favorite, but they officially meant something to me now. Arms wrapped around my waist and I smiled, resting my hands on Blade's hands. "Thank you for the flowers," I whispered. "I love them."

"Good, I'm glad." He kissed my cheek and we watched the snow fall as he held me in his arms. "Snow," "Hmm?" "There is a ball that my Mom is making us attend to tonight. Will you be my date?" A smile danced across my lips. "Of course." "I'm glad. I'll send some clothes up here for you. We might want to get ready. It starts at five." My eyes landed on the clock and it read 3:30. I nodded and he unwrapped his arms from around my waist.

"Take a shower. I'll send a maid up here with your clothes." I nodded and headed towards the bathroom. I took a ten minute shower and got out, wrapping a towel around my head to dry my hair. A young looking girl around my age was waiting in my room with a rack of dresses. She was about my height, black, wavy hair, tan skin, dark brown eyes. She was stunning. "Good Afternoon, My Lady." She bowed. She was well mannered, but she didn't need to treat me like this. "Just call me Snow." She nodded. "As you wish." I sighed. "What's your name?"

She looked shocked that someone asked her that. "Gabby." I nodded and smiled. "Gabby," She looked me in the eyes and watched me carefully. "You don't need to have manners around me, I use to be a slave and didn't like the feeling of it, and I'm pretty sure you don't either. I'm pretty sure you want to speak your mind a lot of the times." She nodded and a smile danced across her lips. "So, just be yourself around me." I walked over to her and hugged her.

"Thank you, Snow." She whispered. "You're welcome." We smiled and we joked as she help me pick out a dress. It was a long black dress that flowed to the ground, touching the floor. It was strapless and wasn't exactly like a princess dress, but wasn't a strong party dress either, and had black heels along with it. Gabby did my make up and hair in a bun. I smiled at my reflection. I turned and looked at Gabby. An idea struck me.

"I'll be right back." She nodded and sat on my bed. I walked out of the room and went down stairs to see a shirtless Blade. My cheeks grew warm as he looked at me, but ignored it. "Blade?" He smiled and walked over to me. "Yes?" "The maid you sent up to my room, may she join the ball with you and I?" He looked at me confused. "The maid?" I nodded and walked to the stairs. "Gabby!" Within a couple of minutes, she was walking down the stairs.

"Yes, Gabby, the maid. I want her to join us tonight. She's a great girl. Please, Blade?" He bit his lip, leaning back against the counter in the kitchen. He smiled and nodded. "Also," He cocked an eyebrow as he drank the blood from the coffee cup. "I would like her to stop being a maid. She deserves better." He put the cup down and walked to us, putting his hands on my shoulders. "You are the most caring person, Snow. I love that about you." I smiled and he kissed my cheek. "Of course."

He held his arms out open to us and I pulled Gabby into his arms along with me. He gave us a big hug and he whispered, "Welcome to the family, Gabby." "Thank you." He let us go up stairs to finish getting ready. I pulled Gabby up the stairs and into my room, letting her look at the rack of dresses. She chose a pink dress that flowed out around her, touching the floor. I curled her hair and put a soft pink flower hair clip in her hair. I did her make up with some eyeshadow and mascara, she looked beautiful.

"You look marvelous, Gabby." She smiled and I returned it. "Thank you." I nodded and we headed down stairs. People started to arrive and we greeted them at the door as they came in. "Just be yourself, Gabby. But be polite as well. Many high classed people are coming here tonight." She nodded and we watched the people dance, talk, laugh, and enjoy themselves. I smiled. I'm glad Gabby and I could be here. It made me happy. Everything was going fine, until he showed up... My past Master...
