Eaten AliveA Poem by Fallen PhoenixThis is the first, and as of yet only, poem I have ever written. It's not very deep and metaphorical but I'm relatively happy with it.
Not killed by man,
Nor felled by nature, Neither has disease taken. For I have been eaten alive from far within. By a thing that does not live, But festers deep within the swamps of the silent mind. Taking strength from the dark, Growing until no room will be left for the light of day. Isolation is cause and isolation is symptom, For this is the most vicious of all cirlcles. To be alone is to be eaten alive. © 2015 Fallen PhoenixReviews
