Left

Left

A Poem by Follan

You said when I smiled,
You see the stars twinkle,
But I know you're just a smooth talker,
After my innocence,
After the only thing I have left,
My daddy knew,
So he left,
You said I'm just like Monroe,
Beautiful,
But I know what you're after,
So honey why don't you just spit it out,
Little Johnny did,
My daddy knew,
So he left,
Right out my door,
But truly at that time I didn't know,
I thought I was your queen,
You sly fox,
Time have told me lies exist but truth does not,
So I love you,for your lies and the way you wrap me around your fingers ,
I'm your chess piece,
Naive, happy, content,
You never once said you loved me,
Just nodding,
I wish you the best......
Because I'm leaving with my daddy...
And out the door I went
