A Day Gone By

A lonesome longing..

Another wasted attempt..

A smooth kiss flies off in the night..

A breeze carries the faith from the believers..

 

Falling forever in a sea of oblivion..

I’ll never be afraid..

I know these feelings..

The keep my guard up..

Yet I let it down..

 

A freezing rain..

A wasted breath..

Another silence filled with gunshots..

A day gone by in the life of a nobody..

 

Drowning in this ocean of abyss..

It’s like a gentle kiss..

The feeling of a wasted life..

It’s a way to get by..

But I still want to die..

More and more everyday..

Death is what I’m longing for..

 

A time of need..

A horde of evil exterminates the goodness in our hearts..

Another god destroyed by non-believers..

And I bid you all goodnight..

killer line, this was a bit gentler than the other one i just read. a good combination of feelings both of raw emotion

Son, you need a community relation that's suited to your temperament. Your poems are reflective of the traditions of Zen/Taoism. It ought to anchor you a little and not fly off at the slightest breeze. There's an entire community out there who lives and dies with thoughts of themselves the way you express them. Look up Alan Watts' ' The Way of Zen.' You are not alone.
