Shattered

A Hero?

Me?

I’m not a hero..

I fell, I’ll always fall..

Every time I’m close to being where I want to be..

I can’t stand here..

Just looking at the splendor fading..

Just passing in my place within the grave of an unknown soldier..

Hope dies..

And this reflection of the lie..

It’s going to keep waiting..

My reason has become so hollow..

Love gone..

So long..

I can see the day ending..

Faith is not what I hold..

My war is not over..

The sun shades for the pain..

It hides the gain..

Nothing is left though..

Take me home..

Hand my dead body to my family..

I will run..

But I will not be silent..

You can never make this happen..

I lost all I was..

It has turned to who I am..

Lost what was found..

This shattered world..

Yesterday I died..

Tomorrow I’ll be bleeding..

And it’s still just A Fallen Hero to you…

An ideal continues to live, if not in us than in someone/thing in the world. Knowing that its there is a comfort because it assures us that its not dead. The internet opens the world to us this way to see that. To know that someone shares your ideal brings you into relation with others.

Strong words and honest emotions. Ain't easy for anyone to see the good in a life. Sometime we need to find purpose and reason to be alive. The word man of the world can see and feel too much. A strong ending to a excellent poem.
