This is what I long for

New depressive things and thoughts

Hatred is still deep in my heart

A new year brings

New hearts to bring love to

Love is frustrating

A new year means a opportunity to do many things. Ain't easy but we need to put our anger aside and find something good and fun to do. I hope the New Year is started better for you. A very good poem.

I love your view on a new year. How it can bring both the good and bad.
A couple little thing......
New hearts to bring love to- I would switch one of the the "to"'s. It's just a bit tricky to read. Breaks the great flow you have going in this poem. But it's fine as is, just a really minor thing :)
Also you start your poem off by "I’m Starting over". And then you go into stuff about hatred, and pain. I'm not sure what you meant. If you're starting over, then why are you anticipating pain? If you think if you set your mind to having a good year it will. Maybe a happier attitude? Just curious......
Sorry to criticize, I mean it with all good intentions.

that's much brighter, while also being realistic. a new year brings new chances for love, happiness, sadness, tragedy, heartache, grief, and friendships. we can't tell what the new year holds in store for us, but we can hope for the best
