Roses Have Thorns.

Roses Have Thorns.

A Chapter by FallenFate

It was bliss. Rowan was in the ultimate exstasy, she was happy to be alive again. That was how much Jay ment to her. She had been in love with this boy for three years, and now, he was finally hers. He walked her from class to class, kissing her everytime he saw her and before he left her. When last period came, she was extatic. The one class they together. She walked out of her math class to see one of the most gorgeous boys she had ever seen. The boy; skinny, green eyes, black and blond hair, stood, leaning against one of the many concrete pillars.

He walked right up to Rowan and embrassed her in a long hug, she took in his musky smell that always accompanied him. She loved it. "Hello, love." He whispered. "Hello, Jay." He pulled back to kiss her and then hugged her again. "Let's go to class, shall we?" She nodded and they made their way to art class. She kept glancing over at him from the corner of her eye and she always caught him watching her intently. She would smile, blush, and look down again.

At the end of the class period, Jay pulled her to him, kissed her, and hugged her tightly. He burried his face in her neck and held on to her tightly. He smelled so good, to her anyways. The he kissed her on the cheek and said, "I'll miss you." Then he turned and walked away.

It's been about two months now, and Jay and Rowan were still together. On their two month mark, he gave her a rose. It was the sweetest thing, he found her in the morning and handed the white rose to her, shyly. "This is for you," he said, looking down. She smiled and kissed him on the cheek. "Thankyou, love. It's beautiful."

Rowan carried the rose around to every class, showing off how amazing her boyfriend was. Art class was coming and the thought made her heart leap and put a goofy grin on her face. But it didn't turn out how she hoped it would. Jay was quiet the whole class period and he wouldn't look at her. At the end of class, and school, she stopped him before he walked away to see what was wrong.

"Jay, what's wrong?" he just shooke his head and tried to walk away. Rowan wouldn't take no for an answer so she stopped him again, her arms crossed. "Tell me." She ordered.

"We're done, Fallen." Those three words made her heart stop, and the world as well. Her mouth fell slightly open, she became less tense, and tears filled her eyes. "Why?" she whispered. He grabbed her arms, pushing her sleeves up. "That's why. I can't do it anymore." Rowan jerked her arms back, covering her cuts. "I haven't cut in weeks now. You know that." He shook his head. "It's not enough. I hate that, you know. Seeing you hurt."

"Then why are you doing this?" tears fell down her pale cheeks; she wiped them away. "I told you. I'm done with it. Good bye, Rowan." Then he turned and walked away without a glance back.

No more. Rowan was done. Done with it all. She sat with her back against the side of the bathtub. Her arms were covered in deep gashes, but she didn't care. They stung like hell, but what did it matter anyways? It would be over soon. The tub water still ran when it had reached the top and when Rowan, fully clothed, slid in under the water. She took in a breathe, only for water to fill her lungs. Her eyes opened as she swallowed more water. The water began to fill her lungs and drown her.
