Little Pills

Little Pills

A Poem by Fallen Angel

Just a little pill
To help you sleep again

To shake me from my nightmares
Silence in my mind

What's another pill
In a world full of dependency

Am I ok
What's your version of ok

Will there be a day
Without my little aids

Without them my mind will race
Over things I cannot change

Even in silence
My head is filled with noise

I need to find something
To deafen the thoughts

Images repeat themselves
Over and over in mind

Some bring stinging pleasure
Others bring blinding pain

So for now I pop the cap
And lean upon my cane
