Portland Girl

Portland Girl

A Different Girl From Portland

"

Portland Girl

Free Spirited Portland Girl

My Daughter Joined them too

She wanted to be just like them

Free spirited through and through

My Little girl has grown up

To be a free spirit in the wild

In the lands that were not of her childhood

The Northwest was calling her Name

Amy Lynn come to Portland to live out a life

Simple with the other free spirited Kids of your Generation

That have come out here to sing and play

At the Blue Grass Concerts

Bring a blanket and a flowered hat

Block the sun from where you are at

Enjoy some entangled drink

The kind that makes you think your drinks are healthy

When it's just another dreamers dream

I fear no offense was taken

For the love of my daughter was not mistaken

for we have that unconditional bond

ever knowing and loving bond

that fell together the day she was born

My New Born In my arms

Nothing in life could separate us two

Now she's a Portland Girl

Through and Through

This I pray

Amen.
