When Love was slenderA Poem by Falcon1For the Love of my life and then she took a hikeWhen her love was slender I was blinded by the light She took me for a walk Too just where our road would end It was at the end where there was a cliff I was about to take the rest of my life flying lessons Over and over again off the cliff I would fly oh how fun oh how high She told me just where to get off At the next bicycle shop To fix my two flat tires and to get my spokes adjusted So I could motor on passed and forget her a*s For she surely tried to trash me name She has every one to blame Her sister her brother her aunt all her cousins too None of them could get her mind unscrewed She told them her mind was beyond repair and that she did not care I let the things she said get to me the effects were tremendous upon me It effected my Family my wife my children and the way I spoken To my Mother she is still trying to recover My Father is an angry cuss He sometimes likes to make a fuss But I look and oversee his distrust In my belief system You must trust in oneself before you can trust in another this works for me it sets up my family tree My wife is in the center like a plant on the dinning room table A plant to be cherished and praised and blessed before meals Worshiped and adored And the Children Praise her Glory evermore.
