Mary Ann has her plan

a very sobbing story

Mary Ann has her plan

To ruin me as fast as she can

She was written details in her diary

and she keeps the key well hidden

I would not stoop that low

Oh for me I must leave Mary Ann alone

Her games could get so rough

She thinks I'm not so tough

In her mind she has some plots

She has been at the doctor's looking at ink spots

Doctor Says what do you see Mary Ann

In those ink spots before thee

She gets frustrated as can be

Wanting to leave the doctors office

and run for her life

She never knew this kind of treatment

Was going to be so mind twisting

Such a terrible feeling in her gut

She doesn't feel she has very much to offer

She is feeling very low

She knows not which way to go

Jimmy is counting on thee

He wants to start a family tree

But But Mary Ann Is as scared as can be

Not to sure if she can make that commitment

to a family tree so quickly you see

She has walked blindly in to love

At the turn of the Century

A commitment she could not make

With a Friend of her's Named Jake

Jake began to think she was a fake

and that she was on the take

Eighteen long years have passed

Her heart has mended at last

Jimmy want to marry her

and make her his wife

But it was going to be a struggle and a strife

For Jimmy was looking for an easy go of life

He never thought Mary Ann would have too

Think about it twice

He thought he could marry her 

and keep her happy

For they have been going steady

For about five years now

Jimmy thought it was time

That Mary Ann Got the clear message

and life with him would work out fine

For it would all work out in a matter of time

Mary Ann Thought about it for a while

Then she decided she was not ready for a child

Putting Jimmy plan for a family tree 

on the back burner

Jimmy thought her clock was running out

For She was getting above child bearing ages

This rattled Jimmy's cage

Jimmy thought he could get a contract 

Written down on a page

Mary Ann was playing a different song

She did not want that tune to come along

This could sever there ties

Mary Ann just may stay single 

the rest of her life

Jimmy was sadden by the news

He was about to write his song of the blues
