It Takes Two to dance

We were in a lover's Romance
We known it takes two to dance
When at the dance hall
We cut the rug

We held each other tight quit snug
I was giving to her
My best impression of the Bear Hug
She loved it and she felt warm and snuggly

She was in love with me and that did not bug me
The dance floor was starting to get a little crowded
With lovers and friends alike
others would like to go on a hike

Than dance with a partner
at the dance hall tonight
So much kissing was going on between
Lovers in love for the first time

for young love blossomed on the dance floor
The love songs they could sing
Along that brought them together
Forever and forever as friends first then lovers.

I was station six years in Texas at Fort Hood. I loved the Texas women. They would ask you to dance. Dancing is the best days for us. Good company, music and some drink. I loved this poem. You took me back to Texas. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry.
