You never Told Me

You never Told Me

A Poem by Falcon1
"

love lost

"
I've long written you off
Our world's never crossed
But when we had the chance
for a romance the words were never received
I looked at you from afar
I adored you and wanted more than
you were willing to give
I did not press on the issue
I just let things go
I never told you so
You reminded me we were to be only friends
so that is the way I left it
never again to get the chance
to glance into you eyes
and tell you how much you meant to me
But I figured you known what was best for you
and where you wanted to be in your love life
and who you wanted to be with
But I was no prize catch
everyone has baggage
Mine is now full of regret
for I have not met the right one yet
It must be a lifelong quest
I shall never give it a rest
but I must profess
I should of given it one shot
but I got the message
and I was not for you
we were wrong for each other
even those my heartaches
this world is a large place
and I must move on
and be strong
or just live alone and struggle on
I had a life and now It's all gone
Living alone just isn't so bad
Life is less complicated
I can still laugh tell a few jokes
have my daughter's who love me the most
Just don't have that gal to make a fuss
over her as she would me.
