#23 Me

#23 Me

A Poem by Fake
"

If only you could read this.

"

Although this road is worn and traveled

My life is still so much unravelled

This unknown land has trapped my heart

In some strange way, it will not start.

It’s stuck on repeat and won’t depart

My thoughts are like mashed abstract art

So where exactly should I start?

When my life was grand?

When I had a boy at hand?

When I felt like my own brand?

When I was in command?

Or when I felt bland?

When things went unplanned?

When I could no longer withstand..?

The uncertainty.

Well, gee..

When was that?

Let me see.

When did I feel free?

When did I stop being me?

I wish to be carefree, but that’s no longer me

I feel so beastly

You may agree

This is not me.

One can be left with questions.it can be quite puzzling in the ending... You seem to have put this together quite well..:-)

I really liked this. It is heartfelt and sincere. It also makes a very good point, by defining one's confusion over the loss of personal identity and the control of your own life. Very well done.

we get caught up in life, the body now in control over the spirit
we get to feel love and freedom from time to time, some realize it for many years,
and some of us struggle,,is it karma,i wonder
