InsertitudeA Poem by R.A. Youngblood
Lights are dimmed with engulfing sadness,
Whacked before with a negligent madness. Dust is swept away from a rusty table Smoke dissipated for a bloody playbill. Subconsciousness still lords over my senses, Ordering a painful sanity at great expenses. Beware of the skulkers and their silent tweet, You are followed by the shadows of your reputed street. Repel them with your notorious lashes, Build up your importance and erase those ashes. Sleep without moving a muscle And beat down your expected hustle. Cry in your invaded and ridiculed places, You are king who slapped those faces. Burn down the tumultuous havens, Divide by fire those Arctic avens. To stay sane is very easy yet so hard, When down the hayrick lies a venomous shard. © 2017 R.A. YoungbloodAuthor's Note
