RelevanceA Poem by R.A. Youngblood
Oh, my dear relevance,
Tame the need for consciousness. Kiss me on my way to sleep, And keep an eye on my dreams. For I do not understand How beautiful you are. Help me connect the strings, Dug deep into the ground To find the syringes of expectations And throw them away from me. Give me the sound of the birds, Become the light breeze touching The images in my flask of divine. Reach for my blue wards Filled with forgetfulness and desire. Destroy the categories in my slightly miffed place, You know how it is called, my sweet relevance. Your shyness is always present, But your will is deliberately slinking off in the distance, Not caring for the things left behind. © 2016 R.A. YoungbloodAuthor's Note
