Empty sentencesA Poem by R.A. YoungbloodPolitical.
Past, present and the future
Merged together. The letters interspersed between The pages of economy and facts. Doctrine of shock. Sweat pouring in the corners of their heads, Members of National Guard are forced To keep thousands of people under surveillance. Single mother barely holding her children Patiently listens to empty sentences of unbridled capitalism, "New beginning", "Empty board". Tiredness made her stagger around. Hope is just so far out of reach. The windows became so heavy for her eyes, Like everything around her. As she sat she couldn't hear The agressive noise of people, Only chemicals slipping on the streets And bridges falling down. She smiles to her child As the shivers softly run through her body. As the thoughts circle around her, She slaps herself to bring in The havoc of the public sphere Back in her locked crates. "They are not blind, they are evil." She says to herself. © 2016 R.A.
