Room

Room

A Poem by R.A. Youngblood

Transcendence,
Of light into the night.
Independence,
Of wind blowing the curtains,
Forcing them into the shadows of the room.
Immortality,
Of the air you breathe,
Patiently waiting for you to die.
Residence,
Of a melody you keep turning on,
New addiction.
Fractions,
In the body of your wall,
Which keeps the memories inside.
Silence,
Of the life you keep listening to,
But it's not talking.
Sadness,
Of the world you keep talking to,
But it's not listening.

Goth? i love it, i started reading it and two bands came into my mind, Linkin Park and Epica...first i love the simplicity of the poem's head...ROOM, intrigued tom know how you came up with that. Honestly i wish this was written by me because its gothly beautiful...your words hum through the poem without a push "of the life you keep listening to, but it's not talking..." i surely have missed a lot and this is definitely shelved...

You certainly maintained the style throughout the piece. Your rhythm is impeccable and (in this case) delightfully impenetrable.
