Some Day.

Some Day.

A Poem by FaithfullyJennyBear

I heard your voice again,

for the first time in quite a while...

How's your brother?

Your dad okay?

Your step-mam?

I hope you're having a good life

I'm trying to..

Thanks for asking..

You been up to much lately?

Me? nah, just writing and reading..

The usual.

How's your friends?

You got anything planned for your birthday?

Only 3 days left to go,

then you hit the big 20

I hope you have a good birthday,

should be fun.

I would get you something

but I have no money,

I will send you a simple text?

Maybe push for a phone call?

That's if you want to talk to me?

I don't blame you if you wouldn't want to.

I'm sorry for everything I have ever done.

I wish I could go back in time and make it all better.

But I can't. I'm not magic.

I hope you don't miss me too much.

I'm not worth a single thought.

I made your life hell.

All because of my stupid mind.

I told you I wasn't worth your time.

You sohuld have listened.

Would have made your life a hell of a lot easier.

None of this would have happened.

We may still have even been friends.

I'm off now, I may walk past you again some day.

Stop and chat again? If you like.

I wouldn't object.

A hug? okay,

You still hug so tight,

like you don't want me to leave.

But, like everything in my life,

You have to leave,

loosen your grip and walk away.

I may see you again some day.

"Some" a great prefix in any word to give an air of mystery. This was like a script played out in the mind. Great to read.

A great read and fantastic use of a one sided conversation to tell the reader exactly what is going on. What the poem lacks in subtly it makes up for in emotional rawness.
Well done, a great piece.

Should* 8th stanza, and this is a good poem, you have really shown how you feel towards this person. This seems quite sad if Im honest, but a lovely piece. x

I like the conversation. Just direct questions. Little tenderness and desire in the words. Sometime seeing another person. Can bring back good and bad memories. Hard to open close doors. I like how you ended the poem. A excellent poem.

This was a good write. I really liked the goodbye within this poem. I think it's hard to leave when you go somewhere else, but you did a great job. Thanks for sharing.

As the old saw goes, it's hard enough to stay goodbye. You said it well here.

The common struggle of man vs. himself. I love it. It brings forth the truth that we all face at one point or another- the regret, pain, want of things renewed. This is something I can relate, and I'm sure most can at some point or another, and I can say, I know what you mean. Very good job. Very good.
