The road of ink

The road of ink

A Poem by FaithfullyJennyBear

I'm on a roll,

No stopping me now.

I hit some bumps,

But I don't know how

To get out of this place

Of darkness and despair,

Where words don't exist,

No how, why or where.

I see the light,

I race to the door,

The words come back

I can write some more.

Smoothly driving,

My pen runs out of ink,

I start to panic,

My heart starts to sink.

I move on from one,

Useless, no care.

Go on to another,

It will take me there.

Back on the road,

The white, lined sheets,

Back on the road,

Where I'm destined to be.

Wonderful and powerful lines, Jenny! This is such a nice poem! Thanks for sharing! Indeed, we all plan our own escape from this world, to live in peace with ourselves!

I hate when pens run out of ink. It's like your creative streak is rolling and then 'BAM' no friggin ink! I like this write it's like you don't the mind not really wanting to take time to process thoughts, but to just write every thought down. I like this method. I do this sometimes and am required to in my homework which I think is a good way of getting to a subject of what you want to write about. In this case needs no subject really, it's great!

This one is just exquisite and loved the flow; the idea of running out of ink just when the words are flowing, send me into a frantic search of another pen!

And the destination we reach through the art of purging is never known, until the pinnacle is reached! Excellent, one of your best hon! xx

You are on a roll. That is how writing worked. When life give us sadness or happiness can open the door to good emotion for poetry and story. A excellent poem.
