The road of ink

I'm on a roll,

No stopping me now.

I hit some bumps,

But I don't know how

To get out of this place

Of darkness and despair,

Where words don't exist,

No how, why or where.

 

I see the light,

I race to the door,

The words come back

I can write some more.

Smoothly driving,

My pen runs out of ink,

I start to panic,

My heart starts to sink.

 

I move on from one,

Useless, no care.

Go on to another,

It will take me there.

Back on the road,

The white, lined sheets,

Back on the road,

Where I'm destined to be.

This is the part of JennyBear I Love when reading!! That first stanza had the making of a predictable form and then you threw me off my mindset, beautifully, with a well-crafted play on the words, mixing it up the way you did. : ) I Love it. Going from the first one to the next stanza? ....road trip!! lol Can I go, too? That was fun. : ) When you ran out of "ink", it felt like we were in the mood for dinner out and only found enough money for McDonald's drive-thru!! The third stanza nailed your quick and sharp piece that may seem at other times as a "general" topic.... writer's block, I'm assuming, but you have written about something that I could NOT do...... so you get a straight up "daps" and a hug for pulling it off, JennyBear!! I DO think the first two commas in the third stanza should be semi-colons, though. It takes the place of "nor, and, and yet". Very cool.
