Time Heals NothingA Poem by Faithy"You know what happens to scar tissue. It's the strongest part of your skin.” - Michael R. MantellTime Heals Nothing All it does is leave you this empty blank space to ponder What would’ve of happened if it never happened at all The final event to end everything Even though you want to forget The memories still haunts you Creep up on you when you least expect it Then just to let you have a break down afterward Then there are the memories you want to keep To hold tight and never let go But seem to always float away when you let your mind wander off of them They never fully return and there’s always a missing piece The beginning is like getting stabbed The dagger plunges into your skin Deep red crimson ribbons spill out, cutting through muscles and veins Extreme pain slithers through, this is the worst part Then the dagger is out Even though the bleeding has stop and you’ve cleaned it out the best you can There is no more pain and it heals slightly, but a mark is still there to proved it happened The wound is never fully healed back to its original state Time Heals Nothing It’s just an empty space to ponder Where bad memories stick and good float away And where the dagger use to be and where a scar still is © 2010 FaithyAuthor's Note
