There's This Girl

There's This Girl

A Poem by Faith Elizabeth

There’s this girl,
She feels so alone.
She cries herself to
Sleep at night with
No one there to care.

Her burdens rest heavily
Over her shoulders.
With no one to lean on,
She’s beginning to fall,
But still, she continues on.

Her face shows a smile,
Her lips say she’s fine,
But her eyes show how
Badly she’s broken and
Hurting deep inside.

Her strength is fading
Much faster now and her
Thoughts are getting weak.
Things are becoming harder
And her eyes begin to weep.

Her blade meets her pale,
Scar-kissed wrists for one
Final, fatal embrace.
