A Chapter by Eliza Jones

Sara and Steaven take the news rather well. That is, If you call rather well screaming 'I don't believe you!' and asking me how on earth I jumped on this crazy train. I think my mom's words on the situation are the best-
"Oh dear."
After a few more minutes of this, my dad finally presses a button on this thing hanging around his neck that I never noticed. Its a small, lightweight, black disk with a few buttons and a fingerprint reader on it. I guess the one he pushed is some kind of walkie-talkie, because he speaks into it.
"Send in the nurse, please."
A few seconds later, a nurse (who also has a tag, this time light blue) pushing a cart with a variety of medical instruments hung on it. On the top is a tray with three vials, each filled with a different color fluid. The smiling nurse, who can't be much older then 16, winks at me. She proceeds to prep each fluid, mixing it with others, and then fills  syringes. One is a bright purple, Another is a soft green. The final one is a high, clear blue.
"Hi guys. My name's Lea. Obviously these are for you guys. Each one has been mixed specially for your blend of powers. At the most basic, they activate your powers, allowing you to use them. At the most complex, however, they can force a burst of power through you. The purple one does that. The blue one just activates it, and the green causes a small burst. Steaven, who is definitely not ready for a burst as his powers are still developing, is getting the blue. Sara is green. Libby will get purple." The nurse says.
"And what if we refuse?" Steaven asks.
Lea smiles. "Your parents have order for this to happen. You can't really refuse."
I send a sharp glance Steaven's way. "i'll go first. No sweat."
Lea smiles. She leads me to the bed and has me sit down. After cleaning my upper arm with rubbing alcohol. "Ok," she says, "one, two, three!" On three she eases the needle in, and presses down the plunger. For a moment, nothing happens. THen suddenly.... Oh it's the most amazing feeling. A swoop in my belly, my pules quickening.
I'm floating, 6 feet above the ground.
