Introduction

You know the story.

In a land far, far away in Northern California, there was a young lady named Simone.  Simone was the beautiful daughter of a wealthy businessman who loved her more than life itself.  Darlingdale High was starting the fall semester next week and Simone would be joining the sophmore student body this year.  She didn't know anyone, but was hoping to be oriented by her two new step-sisters, Kim and Lisa.

This is a nice beginning, but I agree with Starninja that it's a bit short. Also, there should be a comma after "step-sisters".

This is kinda short to be left all on its own, isn't it? Also, Darlingdale? That better be the name of a real school or I'm going to have a word with you about naming conventions.
