It’s only a rock with a café on top
full of old holes like a cheese
It’s not all that funny
they’re after your money
Colonials are easy to please
Once was a time they would tow the line
indigenous people or not
They wanted the land
and had it all planned
Then Spain damn near took the whole lot
The thing about greed whoever in need
it’s hard to get something for nowt
They’re selling our history
without even a mystery
That’s what this stories about
So go do the tour and give to the poor
it’s cheaper to walk if you’re fit
Don’t drive round in a car
who ever you are
No chance you will see all of it
As for the Apes don’t feed them grapes
it’ll cost you too much if you’re seen
But apes are so cool
they will spot a fool
On locals they’re not very keen ?
I could go on and still could go on
I know the place near inside out
When the Brits set it free
and give back the key
It’s history they will have sold out
Stories I told will likely unfold
locals who thought they were safe
Then Fortress or not
they didn’t know what
Was going on right in their face
But Hey I will stop or trouble may cop
no tales should I tell out of class?
I wish them good day
hope they get their way..
Cheers Gibraltar… “Long may you last!”

you can maintain the voice as well and i liked the subject matter, i kept searching as it went along... so you lived on the rock. how peculiar that must have been.
