Then And Now

Then And Now

A Poem by Faint

Between the time that someone says something

and the time they are confronted

what they said can have lost all value.

They can change their mind

   learn new information

or just have a change of heart.

Some call it bipolar

I call it 'thinking things through'

     even after it already happened.

Some call it being two - faced

I call it being 'complex' or 'more than just a one man show'

even if you didnt know they more human than you thought.

But maybe, you just put too much faith in people

   maybe, i dont

maybe, no, one thing is true: we will never know the reason, we will never know    when, and we will never know who.

Just remember that you've said it too

"That was then, this is now."
