A Faded MelodyA Poem by Fading PoeticWritten 2012.The keys lay broken, dull sounds sing forth memories that I once played. Hardly notes, the voices come forth from the page, a siren's voice, now merely an echo across the crimson ripples of time. My fair maiden, in perfection you did step, a haunting dirge your dance. A dream begat reality, a courtship ever perfect; the fading melody that I drew in blood from frayed strings. © 2012 Fading PoeticAuthor's Note
