Blame It On The RainA Poem by Jazzlyn B BardenAfter all the good times, The bad ones pour in. The sun no longer shines, The rain never ends. Where did all the good times go? It seems they just flew right out the window, And we can no longer say we made it through everything, Because even though I’m far away you’re the one who really left. So I guess I’ll blame it on the rain, It was always sunny when we were together, And now that we’re not It’s only stormy weather. I’ve prayed and prayed, But the rain won’t go away. Endless pain, Never ends, Will I ever see the day, Where there’s no more pain, And no aftermath of the rain. Maybe there’s a rainbow, At the end of my storm, Where colors will shine brightly, And gives me hope for this world. But for now, I’ll stay blaming my pain, On the rain.© 2016 Jazzlyn B BardenFeatured Review
