Gone AgainA Poem by Jazzlyn B BardenI guess this is goodbye, I’m gone again. I’m leaving today, Yes I’m gone again. I hope you understand, I try, and try, and try, But again I failed, Now I can’t even stand, To see your face. But darling don’t cry, I’m only gone for a while. Only for a while… Now baby just breathe, You know I’d hate to see you cry, Your tear stained cheeks, They’ll make me weak. You know I’m bad at goodbyes, So don’t mind me, I’ll stay strong for you, But once I’m gone I will die inside. No not again, I can’t do this again. I’m sorry it’s all my fault, That I’m gone again I know you don’t feel the same, but I thought you should know that I… No, Just nevermind. It doesn’t matter, ‘Cause I’ll be gone again. Leaving today, Sorry that I have to say. Hope that when I leave, You keep me in your memories. You’ll be in mine, Yes all the time. But darling remember not to cry. Because doing so, It makes it so much harder for me to say… To say goodbye. But I promise, I’m only gone for a while. © 2016 Jazzlyn B BardenFeatured Review
