![]() RememberA Poem by Jazzlyn B Barden![]() The story of a boy and a girl, starting from the last time they saw each other, to when they first met. This is the girls P.O.V, on how she regrets the things she never said, and still remembers.![]() Remember our last winter, The last moment that we spent together. In the backyard woods, our last snowfall together. Remember two years ago, those late night events still running through my mind. My hand held in yours to keep warm, still sends shiver down my spine. But go back in time, now four years back. Still in those woods, not a care in the world You tell me how you feel, and I say I don’t feel the same. But I lied, Because I thought I didn’t deserve you. I’m just a waste of your time. Go back again, Eight years ago. Your waving to me outside the window, I smile and run outside to see you again. We go back out to the woods, To a hut we built for ourselves. Laughing and running til’ the day comes to an end. Remember ten years back, when we first met, I knew we’d be friends, forever until the end. But now I’m gone two thousand miles away, and conversations cut short. My smile simply fades. Day in and day out, you’ve been there til’ the end. I wanna go home, Go back to my friend. Everyday that goes past, My heart fills with regret. I should’ve said I love you, But now it’s too late. Remember our last winter, Our last day together. Your warm breath on my face, I’ll remember forever.© 2016 Jazzlyn B BardenAuthor's Note
