Clueless

Clueless

A Poem by Crazy Claire
"

We had to write a poem about an ordinary household object and find the beauty/pain/meaning in it for school, so I wrote about this. Hope you enjoy.

"
"It's just a knife."
Just a knife,
you say?
I am so sorry to have
doubted you!
Just my pain, with
a laugh
on the side.
Just the tears and
blood and
humiliation and
courage and
weakness
of thousands.
Just my only true friend.
Just the words
carved
into my skin.
Oh!
We've struck gold, or
maybe that's blood.
But I can bet that you had
no
idea.
"Right.
Just a knife."
Sorry.

Well... I had an idea... but then I wanted to be clueless. Not anymore thanks to this poem. :) I think you've done well with this write, it flows from the heart, and that's so important. Thanks.
