My Mask

My Mask

A Poem by Crazy Claire
"

I don't need anyone anymore. All I need is me.

"
I have come to a solution:
I'm going crazy.
Trapped in my mind
My hands have fallen off
So I cannot reach out.
Don't you worry -
My lips are sealed.
Until the second I'm alone.
The only person who wants to
Talk to me
Is me.
I'm not still here for
Everyone else,
You fool!
I'm here for me.
Please just leave me alone.
Because my mask is slipping.
And the monster
Under my mask
Would f**k you up.
And we can't have that,
Can we?
And all you people,
You sane people,
Have driven me mad.
Don't ask me how that works.
I don't know myself,
All I know is that
I'm sick of pretending.
My knuckles are bloody
As are my arms
And legs
And mind.
You say I've got it good.
And all I can say is:
If you stay long enough
My mask is sure to fall off.
And you'll never speak those words again.
