Zero

Zero

A Poem by Crazy Claire
"

Poem about being betrayed, I guess...

"
I went to you.
My 'best' friend who would
always
Be there for me.
And what do you say?
"Been there.
Done that.
Get over it."
You shattered me
to silence.
My body has since grown
Rigid and cold and
Furious.
And now my smile has faded
My heart has grown cold
My eyes have grown glazed.
And the irony of it all -
It was you that helped me build up
These walls around myself.
After all, you're always the one saying
"You can tell me anything."
You're a liar.
Now I see where I got it from.
My reasons to be here?
Limited to zero.
But here I am,
And I do not get a single
"I'm proud."
Why do I forgive you?
For all those things that you surely
did not
Forget.
But what does it matter?
So long as I'm there to help
You
With your problems
In the end.
And my patience is now official limited -
To zero.

Crazy Claire
One day you're going to look back and realize I was one of the best friends you've ever had. And you treated me like shit.
