Dead and Gone

Dead and Gone

A Poem by Crazy Claire
"

If only you could have taken my hints, I might just be okay.... But it's too late for that now.

"
I have gone simply and blissfully numb.
Except
My head is pounding
My feet are aching
My eyes are watering
My thoughts are dangerous.
I reached out my hand
Only to have it smacked back with a
Scolding.
"Leave me alone!"
And, now, it seems that the tables
Have unconditionally turned.
I am the lonely one
While you are the
Not-so
Comforting friend.
So it is now only my anger.
Me and my deep thoughts.
You really should have watched me
More carefully.
Because,
Now I'm alone and when I'm alone
I am dangerous.
You say I am boring
But really
I'm just holding myself back from
Shouting
Yelling
Hitting.
So tell me, love,
Which would you rather have?
Yes,
That's what I thought.
And it is only now that I understand -
I don't need to kill myself.
I'm already dead.
