Accidents

Accidents

A Poem by Crazy Claire
"

You can only have so many accidents until you begin to realize that they're not accidents. And that is the point where you need to decide to stop it, or to pretend to not realize you're doing them.

"
I watch you from a...
Subtle distance.
And as I whisper
Lie after lie
I am building myself up.
You wipe away your tears
While I just sit in my
Nocturnal silence.
The sun goes down -
You grow sad
I grow cold
And he grows cocky.
I will hold you
Throughout the darkness
But you don't care.
You pushed me away.
So now I'm away.
The only difference,
I'm not
Coming back this time.
My arms are crossed
While yours are
Tightly at your sides.
You say so many things.
So many things that
Accidentally
Killed me inside.
So if it's true,
If I can't make you smile
If I can't make you happy
If I can't be good enough,
Then I guess I should just leave.
Nobody listens,
Anyways.
Don't fool yourself -
If you did listen you would know
So
Much
More.
And it's too late for me now,
So just stop trying.
I understand.
Accidents happen.
