The StageA Poem by Crazy ClaireLife's just one big stage, your audience is the people around you.
My eyes,
Caked with dry tears. My mouth, Glued into a smile. My ears, Blocking it all out. So there you are. You did not go far. But I was still dead. These scars had finally bled. Now where do I go? I've sunk so low... It's only between you and I, Right? So I'll bid you Goodnight. And bow out. Can you take it? Or will you collapse, Right there, Bleeding and broken and useless, On the stage? Like I have. Oh, Are you really surprised? Or did you know it, didn't you Know it? Just too afraid to admit it. But that's how life unravels; You admit it to the crowd. They will either Boo you Or cheer you. It is a boo. They'll never have enough, If you're up there, Giving yourself away, To the stage. © 2012 Crazy ClaireAuthor's Note
