Addiction

Addiction

A Poem by Crazy Claire
"

Sometimes it's easy to get hooked on someone's affection.

"
I know it's just
Part of the show.
But even still,
I took a hard blow.
My feelings,
Just tossed aside.
My requests,
You did not abide.
Thanks to you,
I'm so cold.
And thanks to you,
I'm so old.
But I don't
Care
So long as you're
There.
And these faded
Scars
Are immune to your
Charms.
So I am blown
Away
And now you can
Stay.
Just so you're
Above me.
Just so you say
You love me.
And these broken
Souls
Cannot mend these
Holes.
And now my heart
Is shattered.
I hope you're happy.

The flow of this poem is addicting itself. I cant nail down a particular emotion or event you're writing about, it seems a bit vague but I like it. It comes from the heart. It seems as though you're writing about being hurt or becoming callous to love. How losing someone's love left you broken and empty. The title is addiction, and the picture is of a junkie. I was hoping for more emphasis on the lonliness and the crawling need and desire you develop after someone betrays you. But i'm not sure if that's what you're aiming at. But overall great poem, keep writing!
